A few weeks ago we told you about Christoph Rehage, who planned to walk from Beijing to his house in Germany. Today you’re going to hear about a journey that sounds like more fun than walking.

Felix Starck did what only some of us hope of doing one day: he traveled the world in 365 days. Felix successfully traveled 11,200 miles through 22 countries — on a bike.

But according to an interview with Mashable, Starck’s experiences were not all sunshine and rainbows; he was robbed by police in Cambodia and nearly run off the road a couple of times by tired truck drivers. He said “the daily kindness of strangers everywhere in the world” is what kept him going.

“The first day I left home, an elderly woman saw me setting up my tent and stopped me. She invited me to her guest room, made dinner and breakfast for me. We are still in contact.”

Felix Starck witnessed a lot of animal cruelty during his bike tour, which is why he decided to donate one euro to the World Wildlife Fund for every copy sold of his documentary called “Pedal the World” that he filmed during his travels.

And just like in Rehage’s “Longest Way” video, you can see how Starck’s appearance changes over the course of a year. Check out the trailer for “Pedal the World” below.
